What an ebook looks like once FileConcat has read it
A two-chapter sample guide. The chapters come back in reading order; each picture is named by the text the book gives it, not described.
<file path="harbour-guide.epub" language="epub"><![CDATA[ [Title: A Short Guide to the Harbour] [Image: A drawing of the harbour at dawn] 1. Getting there The harbour sits at the end of the coast road, an hour from the city by the 42 bus. The last bus back leaves at ten past eleven. If you drive, park on the hill above the slipway. The quay itself is closed to cars from June to September. 2. Where to eat The fish market opens at six and sells breakfast from a hatch at the back. Bring cash. [Image: The fish market hatch] For dinner, the lighthouse cafe keeps the best table for walk-ins, so arrive before seven. ]]></file>

What comes through, and what does not
In the text
- The chapters as plain text, in reading order. A part the book keeps outside the reading order is marked where it stands.
- The book's text, read the same way an EPUB is.
Not read
- Pictures are not described.
- Pictures are not described. A book protected by DRM is not opened.
200 real files. The one format where FileConcat is not first: it misses the author.
A shelf of books, one file to paste
Drop a folder of ebooks and they come back as one text file, each under its own name, with a token count for the whole set. An assistant that caps attachments counts it as one.

Common questions
Is my book uploaded to a server?
Not to us. FileConcat reads the book in your browser and there is no account to create. The only upload is the one you choose to make, when you paste or attach the text at your assistant.
Does it read Kindle books?
A .mobi or .azw3 file without DRM, yes, read the same way as an EPUB. A book protected by DRM is not opened.
In what order do the chapters come?
In the reading order the book itself sets. A part the book keeps outside that order is marked where it stands.
Can I get plain text without tags?
Yes. Set Format to Plain before you copy or download. The tags go, and each file sits between two rules with its name, under a short summary and the file list.
Can I convert many ebooks at once?
Yes. Drop several files or a whole folder. They come back as one text file with each book under its own name, so an assistant that limits attachments takes them as one.
